2. What to include
When reporting an issue, please include as much of this information as possible:
- Your device model, for example iPhone 15, iPad Air, or Pixel 8.
- Your operating system version, for example iOS 18.5 or Android 15.
- Your ChessRecall app version.
- The email address used to sign in, if the issue is account-related.
- Steps to reproduce the problem.
- Screenshots or screen recordings, if helpful.
- For purchase issues, attach the App Store or Google Play receipt if available.
3. Account and sync help
Sign-in issues
Make sure you are using the same account you used when creating your ChessRecall data. If sign-in fails, restart the app, check your internet connection, and try again.
Missing openings or progress
ChessRecall can store study data locally and sync it to the cloud when you are signed in. If your openings or review history look incomplete, confirm that you are signed into the correct account and allow the app a moment to finish syncing on a stable connection.
Offline use
Study and review sessions can work offline. Features that rely on live services, such as cloud sync or Explorer Mode statistics, require an internet connection.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases are processed by the store where you downloaded ChessRecall. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
iOS purchases
If you purchased on iPhone or iPad, billing, cancellations, and most refund requests are handled through your Apple Account and the App Store.
Android purchases
If you purchased on Android, billing, cancellations, and most refund requests are handled through Google Play.
Premium access not unlocked
Confirm that you are signed into the same store account used for the purchase, then restart ChessRecall. If access is still missing, contact support with your receipt and the email used inside the app.
5. Troubleshooting
- Update ChessRecall to the latest version available in the App Store or Google Play.
- Restart the app and try the action again.
- Check that your internet connection is stable for sync, sign-in, and Explorer Mode.
- Restart your device if the app becomes unresponsive.
- If the issue continues, send us the details from Section 2.

For privacy questions, account deletion, data export, or correction requests, email recallchess@gmail.com with a clear subject such as "Data Deletion Request" or "Data Export Request".
